How Our Company Works:

Every pet care company has a different business model and range in size from one sole owner and operator to a group of owners with 150 independent contractors who service many different areas. Animal House Pet Care is a small organization with co-owners who are husband and wife (Mark and Laurel Corcoran) who provide quality customer care and a small group of dedicated independent contractors who are the faces of the company and provide our customers excellent eco-friendly pet care. Our Pet Care Associates have all proven themselves over time to be reliable, trustworthy and true animal lovers who always have your pet’s best interest in mind. Our Associates have undergone criminal background checks, reference checks, and are experienced animal people who are pet parents themselves. We also rely on customer feedback in order to continue to operate with the highest pet care standards possible. Essentially we have done the leg work for you as far as interviewing and finding the best of the best to care for your pet while you are at work or away on vacation. As pet owners ourselves, we see through your eyes and choose our Pet Care Associates as if we were looking for someone to care for our own dog.

Too Big

In our opinion, there are some pet care companies that are too large with many independent contractors servicing their needs. We feel that there is much more room for error when working with such a large staff and client database. Also their services tend to be less personal as usually they send whoever is available which means multiple people may be entering your home. It has never been our goal to build our business to that level and it remains our preference to keep a small staff so we truly know and fully trust our Pet Care Associates. This gives peace of mind to our clients and to us.

Too Small

On the other end of the spectrum, there are pet care businesses that are run by one sole owner and operator. The service will be much more personalized than a large company but chances are eventually he or she will need some time off or have an emergency and will call you to cancel. In that case you will be on your own to quickly find someone else who can take over providing care for your pet while you are away or in the middle of a busy work week.

Just Right!

We strive to have one primary Pet Care Associate per client who regularly provides pet care services and a secondary or back up Pet Care Associate in case of sickness, vacation or emergencies. It is extremely rare that we will leave it in your hands to find your own coverage unless that is your preference.
